David Edstrom is a Business Development Coach and founder of Total Relationship Marketing. With over 50 years of experience helping businesses grow, he has trained and coached thousands of professionals in relationship-driven success. Total Relationship Marketing is a business development company including four key components: COACHING, SKILLS TRAINING, REFERRALS and THE LINK SYSTEM.
After graduating from Norwich University in 1966, David served in Vietnam as an Infantry officer until 1968 when he began his in life insurance, where he achieved life membership status in the Million Dollar Round Table before moving into leadership, personally building two highly successful general agencies recruiting, training and coaching more than 1,000 top life insurance producers.
David was also a long term member of the National Speakers Association, and traveled the country teaching his Million Dollar Formula, showing business groups and executives how to attend events and turn idle chatter and chance encounters into business opportunities, opportunities into contacts, and contacts into multiple opportunities.
David later became Vice President of a Fortune 100 Life Insurance Company and was responsible for its growth and development including 160 agencies, 16,000 agents and 80,000 brokers increasing productivity and 5 year retention from 17% to 35%.

David has been joined by Dr. Drew Gold whose expertise is critical in helping business owners and sales professionals achieve TOP PERFORMANCE. Dr. Gold is an Associate Professor of Management at Saint Leo University and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina. His areas of expertise include technology and innovation management, research methods and statistics, strategic management, and personal and professional development. He has given talks and conducted training sessions around the United States and rest of the world on a variety of strategy, management, social media, and emotional intelligence related topics. He has spent over a decade developing and refining his concept of Emotional Dexterity, which is reflected in his book “Beyond Emotional Intelligence: Never Have Another Bad Day!” a more proactive method for actively managing your emotional state. Its benefits include reduced stress, anxiety, and conflict, improved relationships, better communication, and improved performance.
Dr. Gold is responsible for Self-management, Mindset Training and Coaching for LINK members of Total Relationship Marketing including the LINK ON-BOARDING process. Dr. Gold offers training courses based on his concept of emotional dexterity that range in length from an hour to multiple days, and cover a variety of topics from reducing stress and conflict in the workplace to building leadership skills. Dr. Gold oversees the implementation of the LINK System is referred to as the 90 Day Challenge.
He received his bachelor’s degree in finance in 1992 from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business with a focus on international finance and investments, graduating cum laude. His doctorate was received in 2002 from The University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School with a focus on strategy and innovation management.
