What: a Career and Business Development Training Workshop for VETERANS and TRM Members, and is presented by Total Relationship Marketing, a career and business development company turning the theory of 6 DEGREES of SEPARATION INTO 1.
The Jenkins Academy is a collaborative effort between the AUSA Suncoast Chapter and Total Relationship Marketing and is offered in two SESSIONS.
Mission: To equip transitioning Soldiers and Veterans, with practical, relationship-based networking skills that create real civilian employment and business opportunities.
Overview:
The AUSA Jenkins Academy is a structured workshop that teaches participants how to use relationships—not just job boards—as their primary path to civilian success. Using the Total Relationship Marketing (TRM) methodology, the Academy shows attendees how to identify key people in their network, reach out confidently, follow up consistently, and convert those relationships into interviews, offers, clients, and collaborations.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with business owners who may or may not be Veterans, and perhaps have current employment opportunities and business opportunities.
Attendees will learn how to attend events and turn idle chatter and chance encounters into opportunities, opportunities into contacts, and contacts into multiple opportunities turning meetings into money. This is a core component of Total Relationship Marketing and is titled The Million Dollar Formula Seminar.
When: The 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month beginning July 1st offering the opportunity to participate in a half day or full day EVENT
Intended Audience: VETERANS, VETERANS transitioning to civilian life, new TRM Members

David Edstrom, Founder, CEO and Business Development Coach. David has provided sales and marketing coaching to businesses, sales executives for over 50 years and as a member of the National Speakers Association, presented Million Dollar Formula Seminars throughout the United States to Businesses Groups and Chambers of Commerce including up to 400 attendees at each event. David personally built 2 General Agencies for major life insurance companies recruiting and training over a 1,000 sales professionals to become top performers and was a personal producer achieving Life Membership in the coveted Million Dollar Round Table. David subsequently joined a Fortune 50 Life Insurance Company as Senior VP to head the company’s Agency Growth & Development effort recruiting, training and supervising 160 General Agencies including 16,000 agents and 80,000 brokers increasing retention and productivity by 40%. After retiring David founded Total Relationship Marketing implementing best practices learned over 50 years to help other businesses achieve top performance through the TRM METHODOLOGY, and unique LINK System turning Six Degrees of Separation into One.
Drew GOLD, PhD, Dr. Drew Gold is an Associate Professor of Management at Saint Leo University and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina. His areas of expertise include technology and innovation management, research methods and statistics, strategic management, and personal and professional development. He has given talks and conducted training sessions around the United States and rest of the world on a variety of strategy, management, social media, and emotional intelligence related topics. He has spent over a decade developing and refining his concept of Emotional Dexterity, which is reflected in his book “Beyond Emotional Intelligence: Never Have Another Bad Day!” a more proactive method for actively managing your emotional state. Its benefits include reduced stress, anxiety, and conflict, improved relationships, better communication, improved performance, and even weight loss!
